The Watchers in Bloom
🎨 About the Painting:
Orange lilies burst across the canvas, tangled among apples, buds, and foliage. The arrangement leans toward the wild — less curated, more spontaneous. The Chinese cloud vase , the velvet drape, and the watching dog sculptures bring structure and meaning to the chaos.
🌿 In the Studio:
Painted in the momentum of Keepers, this work came quickly. The brushwork is energetic and loose, allowing blooms to bloom and colour to sing. I let the painting unfold intuitively, following the curves, accents, and curious eyes of the watchers.
