🎨 Monday Mastery Series
Guided studio painting for artists who love to learn by doing.
Each Monday morning, Cheryl welcomes a small group of dedicated painters into her light-filled studio. Easels are ready, brushes and boards are prepared, the still life is arranged under spot light. — You simply arrive and paint.
These sessions are designed for painters who want to deepen their understanding of tone, colour, and composition while painting directly from life. Every week, Cheryl creates a new still-life arrangement that introduces a fresh teaching focus — edges and reflections, gesture and movement, colour temperature, glazing, or compositional flow.
Before painting begins, a short demonstration/talk explores that week’s concept, giving you practical insight and inspiration for your own canvas. The rest of the morning is spent painting alla prima with gentle guidance and one-on-one feedback.
Occasionally, a Mini Mastery card is included — a take-home reminder of the day’s lesson, perfect for building your own creative reference library.
Whether you come for the learning, the atmosphere, or the joy of painting from life without the setup stress, these classes are a nurturing and inspiring way to start the week.
