🔍 Final "Is it done?" Checklist
Ask yourself these quietly in front of the painting:
Is my focal point obvious — and does it sing?
→ If your eye lands effortlessly where you want it to……., you’re golden.Can I take anything away — without weakening the piece?
→ If the answer is no, that’s a good sign it’s finished.Do I love the energy of the brushstrokes — or have I over-controlled it?
→ This one still feels spontaneous and alive. So: ✔️Would I mess it up by ‘fixing’ something now?
→ That’s the real gut check. If you’re only tweaking to perfection, rather than problem-solving… you’re done.
